What the Buddies do

Learn how Buddies use operational skills under Autopilot, Copilot, Signal-only, or Off controls.

Buddies are assistants that help with operational work. Each Buddy can have skills that review information, share a signal, or take supported actions, depending on the control level selected for your team.

See what is available to your team

Open Buddies to see the current roster, available skills, and control levels. Skills can cover areas such as permits, project follow-up, data quality, scheduling, and D&R work. Open a Buddy to see the skills available to your team.

What the control level changes

  • Autopilot can carry out a supported action without waiting for an Inbox decision.
  • Copilot creates a proposal for a person to approve or reject.
  • Signal-only shares information without carrying out the proposed action.
  • Off pauses the skill for your team.

Control levels do not change team permissions or make an irreversible action reversible. Some completed actions may show Undo in Activity during a 24-hour window, but only while they remain eligible. A message already sent or a change made in another service may not be reversible.

Where you interact with Buddies

  • Buddies — current roster, available skills, and control levels
  • Buddies → Inbox — proposals that need review
  • Buddies → Activity — proposal and action history, including Undo when available

For an action you do not recognize, open Activity, filter by Buddy and Skill, and review the related details before changing a control level.
