Prepare for a scheduled inspection

Pip can flag inspection-preparation gaps about three days before a scheduled inspection. The check looks for project photos and other items that may be needed for the inspection.

Items to review

The preparation list may include:

• Disconnect placard and label
• Rapid-shutdown labels at the panel and roof access
• Bonding photos
• Visible conductor color coding
• A readable inverter nameplate
• Additional items noted for the AHJ

Work through a readiness task

   Review the task

   Open the readiness item and review the list of missing or unclear items.

   Prepare the project

   Ask the project team or Quality Surveyor to add the missing photos or labels before the inspection.

   Update the checklist

   Mark items complete when they have been addressed.

The items are prompts to help your team prepare. Review each one against the project and the AHJ's requirements; not every item applies to every installation.
