SunrAI ("we," "our," or "us") operates the sunrai.ai website, the SunrAI platform, and the SunrAI Field mobile app. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you use our services.

We collect information you provide directly, including account details (name, email, and company), customer and project data, job site photos, voice notes and transcripts, time entries, and other content you submit. With your permission, SunrAI Field collects precise location and geofence events for assigned jobs, time logging, crew routing, and active background tracking. We also collect device and app information, push-notification tokens, feature interactions, performance metrics, and crash diagnostics.
3. How we use your information
We use your information to provide and improve the SunrAI platform; coordinate assigned work; record time, location, photos, and voice notes; deliver notifications; diagnose errors; communicate with you about your account; ensure security; and comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information to third parties.
4. Mobile permissions and controls
SunrAI Field requests camera, microphone, notification, and location permissions only for the features described when the permission is requested. Background location supports assigned-job geofences and active work-session tracking and may continue when the app is not open. You can change these permissions in your device settings, although disabling one may make the related feature unavailable.
5. Data storage and security
Your data is stored on secure cloud infrastructure with encryption at rest and in transit. We implement role-based access controls and team-level data isolation to ensure your information is only accessible to authorized users within your organization.
6. Third-party services
We use third-party services including Google Cloud (AI, database, and infrastructure), Stack Auth (authentication), Supabase (file storage and legacy authentication compatibility), Vercel (hosting), Expo (mobile delivery and notifications), Sentry (crash diagnostics), and Resend (email). These providers process data for us under their own privacy and security terms.
7. Data retention
We retain information for as long as needed to provide the service, maintain business and security records, and meet legal obligations. Retention can vary by data type and your organization's account settings. We delete or de-identify information when it is no longer needed, subject to legal and backup requirements.
